ETQAAN Finalizes Acceptable Performance Levels as a Guideline for Technological Education Program Accreditation
The Egyptian TVET for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN) completed the setting of acceptable performance levels to serve as a guideline for achieving accreditation standards and indicators for technological education programs.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, Chairman of ETQAAN, and included members of the committee responsible for formulating standards for technological education programs and institutions.
All attendees praised the expertise of ETQAAN’s team, highlighting the accuracy of the methodology used to set the standards based on international benchmarks and local requirements, aligning with the nation’s sustainable development plans and policies. They also appreciated the well-structured composition of the standards committee, which included highly experienced and specialized members from the technological education field, along with representatives from industry and relevant civil institutions.
The committee members recommended including more representatives from universities, technological colleges, and institutes in workshops to promote the culture of quality and demonstrate how to apply accreditation standards and indicators for technological education programs and institutions.
Prof. Dr. Emara announced that a series of upcoming workshops will train participants from all technological education staff on applying accreditation standards and indicators to achieve acceptable performance levels.
