Chairman’s speech

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Egyptian TVET Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN), which responsible for ensuring the quality and accreditation of technical and technological education institutions and programs and vocational training centers. ETQAAN is an independent public authority and has public legal personality and reports to the Prime Minister. It was established according to Law No. 160 of 2022 and is exclusively mandated to ensure the quality and accreditation of technical and technological education and vocational training institutions and programs in Egypt.

The Authority works in accordance with accreditation standards and labor market requirements, in support of Egypt’s sustainable development plans and policies, and in implementation of the directives of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. This reflects our firm belief in the importance of establishing a specialized authority that operates in accordance with international standards, based on the conviction that the quality of education and training is the cornerstone for preparing qualified national cadres capable of competing in local, regional, and international labor markets.

ETQAAN Authority adopts an ambitious vision aimed at advancing the TVET system through the application of national standards aligned with the best international specifications and standards, promoting the culture of quality and continuous improvement, and strengthening confidence in the outcomes of the system. These efforts contribute to support sustainable development and achieving the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.

Since ETQAAN Authority’s establishment, it has been committed to combine its national identity with international openness by building strategic partnerships with specialized international institutions and leveraging global expertise in developing standards, accreditation mechanisms, and quality measurement indicators, thereby ensuring that the Egyptian system remains aligned with the latest international trends.

At ETQAAN Authority, we believe that quality is not an end in itself, but rather a continuous journey towards excellence. Our success can only be achieved through constructive cooperation and effective partnerships with all ministries, authorities, relevant stakeholders, labor market representatives, civil society organizations, technical and technological education and training institutions, and international development partners.
