Procedures for Applying for Accreditation
Institutions and programs – Vocational Training
(2025 – 2026)
Vocational training centers follow the steps and procedures below to apply for institutional / program accreditation:
1. Submission of Accreditation Application
The vocational training center submits an (application for accreditation) to the Authority, in accordance with the (Accreditation Application Form) (Appendix 1), The application must be accompanied by documents
demonstrating fulfillment of the eligibility terms of applying for accreditation, as follows:
- The establishment decision / operating license issued by the competent ministry, including the training programs offered by the center.
- An approval letter from the supervising authority to which the center is affiliated regarding the application for accreditation – Appendix (2). (If the vocational training center is independent and not affiliated with any authority or ministry, this letter is not required.)
- Approval decision / documents demonstrating that the training programs submitted for accreditation are based on vocational standards issued by business organizations, sectoral federations, chambers, and sector skills councils, approved by the competent authority.
- A delegation letter authorizing the institution coordinator– Appendix (3), taking into account the coordinator selection criteria set by the Authority – Appendix (4).
The application for accreditation for the first time shall be as follows:
(Institutional Accreditation + at least one program)
2. Review of the Application Form and Payment of Fees
- If the Authority verifies that the vocational training center’s application meets the accreditation eligibility requirements, the required fees will be determined (EGP 50,000 for institutional accreditation and EGP 20,000 for program accreditation), and the center shall be notified of the Authority’s approval of the accreditation application within thirty (30) days, including the required fees and the payment method, that must be made within sixty (60) days from the date of notification.
- The institution shall submit proof of fee payment to the Authority to proceed with reviewing the accreditation file (institutional / program) and organizing the external review visit. The Authority reserves the right to cancel the application in case of non-payment or failure to meet the specified deadlines.
3. Submission of Accreditation File
Vocational training centers are required to submit the accreditation file within a maximum of thirty (30) days from the date of payment submission, including the following documents:
- The institutional self-assessment study and its appendices (in light of the institutional accreditation standards for vocational training centers, issued by ETQAAN), according to its templates.
- The program/s self- assessment and appendices (in light of the program accreditation standards issued by ETQAAN), according to its templates, (a separate self-assessment for each program).
- A statement of the training programs conducted during the period of preparing the self-assessment, including the number of trainees in each program.
- Statistics of the training staff, administrative, and technical staff, updated according to the data of the year in which the external review visit takes place.
- Statement of buildings and facilities available at the vocational training center (according to ETQAAN template).
- A statement of the establishment components / training supplies (equipment, devices, raw materials) that must be provided for the training programs submitted for accreditation, (as specified by the authority responsible for designing the program).
- Description for the training program(s) submitted for program accreditation, in accordance with ETQAAN template.
- Samples of periodic reports for the program(s) submitted for accreditation, in accordance with the ETQAAN template.
- Continuous performance improvement plans for the institution and the program(s) applied for the accreditation, based on the self- assessment of the institution / program.
ETQAAN has the right to cancel applications that remain incomplete for one year from the date of submission.
Note:
- The Authority may request any additional documents related to institutional / program accreditation
- After examining the accreditation file and confirming completion of the required documents, the Authority shall set the date for the external review visit, form the review team, and officially notify the institution.
