A New Step Toward Promoting Quality Culture: “ETQAAN” Launches Its First Training Program in Higher Technological Education

Authority has conducted a specialized training program on institutional accreditation in the higher technological education sector. The three‑day program was attended by presidents of technological universities, quality assurance unit officials, and faculty members.
he training aimed to instill the key concepts of quality assurance and accreditation in higher technological education institutions, provide hands‑on practice on applying accreditation standards, and enhance participants’ ability to evaluate institutional performance against the targeted indicators and standards launched by ETQAAN Authority.
It also sought to empower participants to prepare institutional self‑assessment reports effectively and to design and implement continuous improvement plans professionally, in line with the Authority’s accredited quality standards and vocational guidelines.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mousa Emara, Chairman of ETQAAN, emphasized that supporting the higher technological education system is a strategic priority. He highlighted that investing in building the capacities of quality personnel in higher technological education institutions including technological universities; is a cornerstone for sustaining institutional development and ensuring quality.
He further noted that the Authority will continue to provide the necessary training to strengthen understanding and application of accreditation standards, and to raise readiness levels in preparation for accreditation, in alignment with Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy 2030 for advancing technical (technological) education.
Participants praised the clarity, precision, and quality of the training content.
