Towards Advancing Digital Transformation: ETQAAN authority Supports Digitalization Through a Specialized Training Program to Enhance the Efficiency of Its Technical Staff on International Alignment Platforms

the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mousa Emarah, Chairman of the Egyptian TVET Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (ETQAAN), the Authority implemented a specialized three-day training program from April 21 to April 23, 2026, at the Authority’s headquarters. The program aimed to develop the skills of employees and staff members and enhance their vocational skills in using development and modern alignment platforms for educational programs, with the objective of improving the quality of digital training content and supporting institutional performance development inside ETQAAN Authority.

The program included specialized training on the international Worldwide Instructional Design System (WIDS) platform, one of the most significant modern tools for benchmarking and developing education and training programs. The platform enables the alignment of local programs with models applied in the United States, Canada, and several European countries through the application of precise assessment and benchmarking methodologies based on competencies and actual learning outcomes, in cooperation with the National Council for Training and Education.

The training program also provided practical applications on the Worldwide Instructional Design System (WIDS) platform for developing training programs in accordance with international standards. Participants received training on mechanisms for utilizing the platform’s capabilities in data analysis, using the platform’s library to measure outcomes, issuing standards-based reports for trainees and decision-makers, and linking these reports to training content. The program further addressed aligning training programs with labor market needs and designing educational activities. In addition, the platform supports the use of DACUM methodology in analyzing educational programs. WIDS platform not only stores data but also generates reports and outputs, thereby enhancing the technical efficiency of ETQAAN’s authority staff.

The implementation of this training program comes within the framework of the Authority’s orientation toward investing in the development of its personnel and reinforcing a culture of quality and institutional excellence, contributing to the advancement of the technical, technological education and vocational training system.

In this context, Dr. Mohamed Mousa Emarah, Chairman of ETQAAN Authority’s Board of Directors, emphasized that these programs represent a qualitative leap in the process of building technical capacities, enhancing institutional performance efficiency at ETQAAN authority, and improving the quality of system outcomes in line with international standards through training on the use of modern international tools and platforms, including the Worldwide Instructional Design System (WIDS) platform.
