ETQAAN Authority held an intensive workshop to discuss the requirements and procedures of applying for the accreditation of technical and technological secondary education programs and institutions, as well as how to fill out the self-assessment forms for programs and institutions applying for accreditation.
he workshop addressed the requirements and procedures for applying for the accreditation of technical and technological secondary education programs and institutions, and the methods for completing the self-assessment forms for programs and institutions seeking accreditation.
The workshop was marked by positive interaction and brought together members of the National Committee for Setting Accreditation Standards for Technical and Technological Secondary Education Programs and Institutions. Participants included representatives of the specialized general administrations of the Central Administration for Technical Education Schools; the Central Unit for Improving and Assuring the Quality of Technical Education; the General Administration for Dual Education and Training and Applied Technology Schools within the Central Administration for the Development of Technical Education at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education; representatives of the Productivity and Vocational Training Authority; members of the Technical Committee for Educational Institutions’ Quality Management System Specifications at the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (Ministry of Industry); representatives of the Ministry of Health and Population; the Federation of Egyptian Industries; private sector companies; the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAA); the General Authority for Educational Buildings; quality assurance experts; representatives of civil society organizations concerned with technical and technological education; as well as representatives of the TCTI Project funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The workshop was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, Chairman of (ETQAAN).
All participants commended the clarity and coherence of the application requirements and procedures and the self-assessment forms for programs and institutions, as well as the accuracy of the required data. They also noted that the process of filling out the self-assessment forms is characterized by ease and simplicity, as they were designed to be straightforward and free of complexity. In addition, the forms are concise, making them practical and easy to implement.
