ETQAAN held an expanded workshop with the participation of representatives of the Supreme Council of Technological Education, Presidents of Technological Universities, and Their Quality Assurance Units to Present Institutional and Program Accreditation Standards in Technological Higher Education and the Conditions & Procedures for Applying for Accreditation

he Egyptian TVET for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN) held an expanded workshop to present the institutional and program accreditation standards in technological higher education, the conditions and procedures for applying for accreditation, and the mechanisms for filling out the self-assessment templates for institutions and programs applying for accreditation.

The workshop witnessed positive engagement and constructive discussions in the presence of the presidents of technological universities, their leadership teams, and officials of their quality assurance units, in addition to a distinguished group of quality assurance experts from ETQAAN.

This workshop comes as part of the Authority’s plan to disseminate the culture of quality and accreditation, enhance integration with technological universities, and improve the quality of educational outcomes in line with labor market needs and in support of Egypt’s vision for sustainable development.

                 Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, Chairman of the Board of (ETQAAN), stated that a number of quality officials from technological universities will be trained at the Authority through a specialized training package on meeting institutional and program accreditation standards in technological higher education, as well as the conditions and procedures for applying for accreditation. This aims to enhance the capacities of quality assurance units at these universities and encourage them to apply for accreditation.

Participants praised the clarity of the accreditation conditions, procedures, standards, and self-assessment templates for programs and institutions, noting their consistency and ease of fulfillment.
