ETQAAN Enhances the Capacities of CEQAT Central and Sub-Units at the Ministry of Education

 he Egyptian TVET for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN), chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, organized an intensive training program on fulfilling accreditation standards for technical and technological education programs and institutions, as well as preparing institutional and program accreditation application files. The program targeted representatives of the Central Unit for Improving and Ensuring the Quality of Technical Education (CEQAT) at the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, along with representatives of all sub-units at the directorate level, in addition to representatives of the Applied Technology Schools Operation and Management Unit.

                      The intensive training program, prepared and delivered by Prof. Dr. Dalia Taha, Consultant Expert at ETQAAN, aimed to strengthen the capacities of personnel responsible for managing and implementing the quality assurance system, thereby contributing to improve the quality of educational outcomes, enhancing institutional and program performance, and increasing readiness to meet national accreditation standards. The program also sought to enable technical and technological education institutions to prepare institutional and program accreditation application files in a systematic and accurate manner.

                     The program included a detailed and clear presentation of the requirements and procedures for applying for accreditation, as well as a review of self-assessment report models for institutions and programs, with emphasis on the importance of data consistency, accuracy, and full compliance with approved technical requirements. Participants were also assigned practical projects based on their field visits and follow-up activities related to technical and technological education programs and institutions, as a preparatory step for training on review techniques.

                  Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, Chairman of the Board of ETQAAN, was keen to follow up on the training and receive feedback from participants, who expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Authority for the training, noting its significant impact on enhancing their capacities. They also expressed their interest in receiving specialized training on external review processes in the near future. At the conclusion of the program, the Chairman presented certificates of attendance to the participants in recognition of their commitment and active participation, and thanked them for their efforts in supporting the ongoing development of quality in technical education.
