ETQAAN Organizes a Training Program to Ensure Compliance with Accreditation Standards for Post-Secondary Nursing Institutes and Programs to Enhance Their Readiness for Accreditation
nder the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, Chairman of the Board of the Egyptian for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN), and in cooperation with Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud, President of the Egyptian Nursing Syndicate, and within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol signed between the Egyptian Nursing Syndicate and ETQAAN, the Authority organized a specialized training program for staff members of nursing schools and institutes. The program was held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Nursing Syndicate in El-Manyal during the period from (8 to 12) of February 2026.
The program included the delivery of two specialized training courses. The first course addressed the accreditation standards for post-secondary technological education institutions and the preparation of their institutional self-assessment reports. The second course focused on the accreditation standards for post-secondary technological education programs and the preparation of program self-assessment reports. This contributes to enhance the readiness of these programs and institutions to obtain accreditation in accordance with the standards issued by ETQAAN.
Both courses combined theoretical frameworks with practical applications, with a particular focus on mechanisms for preparing self-assessment reports and fulfilling institutional and program accreditation requirements within the participants’ field of specialization in nursing.
In his opening remarks to participants, the Chairman of the Authority emphasized that this training reflects ETQAAN’s commitment to promote a culture of quality and qualifying personnel on the mechanisms of improving and ensuring the quality of post-secondary nursing programs and institutes. He highlighted the importance of strengthening participants’ capacities to fulfill the required documentation in preparation for applying for institutional and program accreditation, which represents a significant step toward obtaining accreditation certificates.
He further affirmed that the Authority will continue its cooperation with various sectors of technical and technological education and vocational training, and will continue to introduce specialized training programs that contribute to achieving ETQAAN’s objectives in building and developing a comprehensive quality assurance and accreditation system in Egypt.
