ETQAAN Launches Training Programs for Program Accreditation in Technological Higher Education
part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of quality within technological higher education institutions, the Egyptian TVET for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN), chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moussa Emara, organized a training program on program accreditation for technological higher education institutions. The program was held over two days at the ETQAAN’s headquarters.
The program witnessed broad participation from presidents and leaders of technological universities, quality assurance unit officials, as well as a large number of faculty members. This reflects the growing interest in applying quality standards at the program level in technological higher education, rather than limiting them to the institutional level alone.
The program also focused on developing participants’ skills in preparing program-level self-assessment reports and designing improvement plans based on accurate performance indicators. This aims to enhance institutions’ capacity to meet program accreditation requirements efficiently and professionally, in accordance with ETQAAN’s national standards.
In this context, Dr. Mohamed Emara, Chairman of ETQAAN, explained that moving to the second phase of the training package for preparing external reviewers in technological higher education reflects the Authority’s direction toward deepening quality concepts within academic programs. These programs are considered the core driver for developing the educational process in technological education, in alignment with Egypt Vision 2030 goals for advancing technological education.
At the conclusion of the program, participants expressed their appreciation for the training content, praising its practical approach and clarity. They confirmed the significant benefits gained in applying accreditation standards for technological higher education programs, emphasizing their readiness to pursue accreditation through ETQAAN to ensure and enhance the quality of the programs offered.
