With the participation of experts from five European countries and international Arab expertise, “ETQAAN” uses quality indicators for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system

he Egyptian TVET Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN), affiliated with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, in cooperation with the European Training Foundation (ETF), is organizing a workshop titled: “The use of quality measurement indicators for the TVET system” The event will take place on March 30 and 31 at Safir Hotel in Dokki, featuring international European and Arab expertise, alongside representatives from all relevant national ministries, authorities, and agencies. Attendance is strictly limited to official personal invitees.

                     This workshop is held within the framework of ETQAAN’s mandates as per its establishing Law No. 160 of 2022. The Authority is responsible for developing quality indicators for the TVET system to support policy development and enhance performance efficiency.

                       The workshop activities will focus on presenting proposed quality indicators for the TVET system and discussing international European and Arab experiences in this field from various countries (Netherlands, Palestine, Hungary, North Macedonia, Moldova, and Italy). Additionally, it will explore data collection and analysis mechanisms, key challenges, and how to utilize these indicators to support TVET development plans.

                   Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mousa Emarah, Chairman of the Board of ETQAAN, emphasized that: “The workshop aims to reach a consensus with various stakeholders on the proposed set of indicators and their application priorities. This is intended to provide a clear and accurate image that enables decision-makers to take measures that support the development of the TVET system, ultimately reflecting on the efficiency of the system’s outcomes.”
