line with Egypt’s direction to update the technical and technological education system and expand its modern specializations—thereby enhancing graduates’ readiness to meet labor market requirements—Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mousa Emarah, Chairman of the Egyptian TVET for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN), participated in the fifth edition of the international forum for technological education, and career pathway, Edu Tech Egypt Summit 2026, held under the theme “Shape Your Future” from April 20 to 21, 2026, at Movenpick Hotel in Media Production City.
This year’s edition of the summit is held under the title “From Dialogue to Implementation: Building an Ecosystem for AI, Skills, and Global Mobility” It features a comprehensive program including specialized panel discussions and interactive workshops, with the participation of a distinguished group of decision-makers, international experts, relevant ministries, private sector representatives, applied technology schools, and technological universities. The summit aims to transform presented ideas into practical, actionable policies.
This participation reflects ETQAAN Authority’s commitment to strengthening its presence in both local and international forums concerned with advancing technical and technological education and vocational training, as well as supporting knowledge exchange with various partners. This contributes to enhance the quality of graduates’ outcomes and aligning them with the needs of both local and global labor markets.
During his speech at a panel discussion titled “Global Skills Passport: Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Enhancing Mobility and Ethical Employment” which was about cross- border skills mobility, qualifications and vocational accreditation recognition.
Prof. Dr. Emarah emphasized that quality assurance and accreditation are no longer merely regulatory tools, but rather strategic pillars for building trust in skills at both national and international levels. He noted that clear standards and reliable accreditation mechanisms enable professionals to move and work across borders efficiently and fairly, while enhancing the competitiveness of technical and technological education graduates in global labor market.
Prof. Dr. Emarah further explained that ETQAAN Authority’s approach focuses on the internationalization of quality systems in Egypt’s technical and technological education and vocational training sector. This is achieved by aligning national standards with international frameworks and developing mechanisms for recognizing skills acquired both within and outside formal education, which ensures building a flexible and inclusive system that enhances employability, supports smooth labor mobility, and keeps pace with rapid changes in global labor markets.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Chairman of ETQAAN Authority highlighted that Edu Tech Egypt Summit serves as an important platform for exchanging expertise and perspectives among stakeholders in technical and technological education and vocational training. He stressed that developing this sector is a cornerstone for achieving sustainable development and building a qualified workforce capable of competing locally and internationally. He also affirmed that ETQAAN continues to support and implement quality assurance and accreditation standards to improve institutional performance and elevate graduates’ level.
He commended the excellent organization of the fair and the diversity of its activities, noting that it reflects the growing national interest in advancing technical and technological education. It also underscores the importance of integration efforts between educational and industrial institutions. He praised the broad participation of local and international entities, which opens new avenues for cooperation and knowledge exchange in support of Egypt’s vision in this field.
