Launch of the First Specialized Vocational Training Program at ETQAAN Authority
nder the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mousa Emarah, Chairman of the Egyptian TVET Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN), and as a qualitative step reflecting its orientation toward developing the vocational training system in Egypt, the Authority announced the launch of its first specialized package of training programs in the field of vocational training for the preparation of external reviewers. This comes within its plan to build the capacities of vocational training personnel in line with the latest national quality assurance standards for vocational training programs and institutions, aligned with international specifications and the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET).
The training package was held at ETQAAN authority’s headquarters over seven training days, from (17 to 23) April, 2026. It covered a number of core modules, including institutional accreditation (theory and practice), program accreditation (theory and practice), as well as the development of external reviewers’ skills. The Authority ensured flexible scheduling throughout the implementation period to better accommodate participants.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Emarah, Chairman of the Authority, affirmed that these training programs come within ETQAAN authority’s strategy to promote and embed a culture of quality within vocational training institutions. He noted that the objective extends beyond providing participants with knowledge of standards to equipping them with the skills and professional behaviors required to qualify vocational training programs and institutions for accreditation, as well as to enable participants to conduct assessment and review processes in accordance with the rigorous professional standards adopted by ETQAAN authority.
He further explained that ETQAAN authority places human capacity development at the forefront of its priorities, as it represents the main driver for advancing the technical education system, technological education, and vocational training in accordance with quality assurance standards, affirming the Authority’s commitment to continue delivering such training packages on a regular basis.
