ETQAAN Authority Concluded the First Integrated Training Program for Preparing External Reviewers Program for Technological Higher Education Sector
the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mousa Emarah, Chairman of the Egyptian TVET for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority (ETQAAN), the first specialized training program on external review for the technological higher education sector were implemented by Prof. Dr. Dalia Taha during the period from May 4 to 5 at the Authority’s headquarters, with the participation of a number of presidents of technological universities, faculty members, and officials of quality assurance units.
This training program comes as an extension of the integrated training program launched by ETQAAN Authority to prepare and qualify external reviewers in the technological higher education sector. External review represents an independent professional assessment system conducted by accredited reviewers to verify the efficiency of technological higher education institutions in implementing quality standards and fulfilling institutional and program accreditation requirements. The program serves as the peak of the training programs that included institutional and program accreditation standards within the same sector, ensuring the development of qualified professional cadres capable of carrying out assessment and review processes in accordance with the latest accredited standards.
During his meeting with the trainees, Dr. Mohamed Mousa Emarah, Chairman of ETQAAN Authority’s Board of Directors, affirmed that launching the external review program in the technological higher education sector represents a qualitative leap in the development of this sector. He noted that the initiative reflects the Authority’s commitment to prepare national cadres equipped with the expertise and skills necessary to implement assessment processes efficiently and professionally, within the framework of its vision to consolidate and promote a culture of quality, enhance the efficiency of the accreditation system, and strengthen the readiness of educational institutions to obtain accreditation and achieve institutional excellence in accordance with the standards approved by ETQAAN Authority, in alignment with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
